What we publish
Original explanatory articles that help people plan around the light: how twilight works at different latitudes, how to read a sunrise table for a trip, how photographers use the low Sun, how time zones and daylight saving interact with the solar day, and local guides to a city’s daylight through the year. Every factual claim must be traceable to a primary source (observatory, almanac, standards body or peer-reviewed work) that we can link to.
What we decline
Sponsored posts, link placements, product promotion, travel or hotel copy, content produced to a keyword brief rather than to inform, and anything that presents estimates as guarantees. We do not pay for articles and we do not sell links.
How to propose a piece
Use the contact form with the subject “Write for us”. Give the working title, three to five sentences on what the reader will learn, the sources you will rely on, and any relevant background you have with astronomy, photography or timekeeping. Accepted articles are edited for accuracy and published with the publication and update dates shown on every page. Author names are published only with the author’s agreement and only for real people.
